I even go a little bit into like the money messages you heard from your mother and your father, like a little bit of that family of origin stuff in the beginning of the book, some journaling questions.
But if you're not a touchy-feely kind of person, you can just get to the brass tacks and just get going.
So that's what I would say.
But you have so much time ahead of you.
Let your money work for you.
You work so hard for your money.
Let your money do some of the heavy lifting.
Oh yeah.
I will say that as a woman who is already in her 60s,
I mean, the crazy thing is this month I could actually get social security.
Now that kind of blows my mind, but I'm not getting it till I'm 70 because it just doesn't make financial sense for me.
But I still have about 80% of my portfolio invested in stocks.
because it's invested for the long term.
There is financial advice out there from people who say, as you age, you should reduce the amount of stocks you're holding and increase the more conservative investments like bonds.
But as I said, I still want money when I'm 95.
So 30, 35 years is a very long time horizon.
So I continue to want my money to work for me really, really hard.
Wow.
Definitely.
And the other thing is I think the last thing that I want to wrap up with is there are tax-advantaged ways to invest your money so the government gets less of it.
