So there's expenses that are irregular, but they're in the future that I know about.
And then there's the unexpected things, the good and the bad and the ugly.
So I wanna have money in savings for both of those.
But the rest is investing, and that's with a long-term horizon, at least five years, probably 10, 15, or 20 or more, and get going.
And I will say the longer your time horizon, the more of your money you can invest in stocks because over longer periods of time, and I talk about that in my book, the expected return is like 10 to 11% on average, right?
You could lose 20% in a year, but even now as we're recording this podcast in August 2025, the S&P 500 has risen 33% in the last four months, right?
There can be periods of very high highs and very low lows.
But that 33% isn't something that's going to be repeated every four months.
It'll slow down.
It'll go down.
It'll do whatever it's going to do.
But when you have a long-term perspective, you can ride out the ups and downs.
And you can just... This is another thing.
When the market's down, sit on your hands and do not move.
