These, David, are viewed very much as extensions of your own home and of your existing property.
That's why you have to connect to the existing mains, the existing wastewater, the existing electricity in the primary property.
And by the same extension, the rules that would apply to someone deciding that they might like to rent a room in their home apply to the modular units in your back garden.
This is a very pragmatic approach that the government is taking to allow people with less red tape to expand their properties within reason.
And just to reassure people, these are not going to be suitable for what we're now seeing as the modern housing estates that are coming up around the country because there isn't enough space in the back garden.
These will be really suitable for older homes that have longer back gardens.
And for people living in the countryside.
And it is our expectation that in the first instance, it'll be family members, it'll be adult children, it'll be perhaps people with disabilities living at home who want a little bit more independence, a little bit more privacy.
