People in general are still looking around them saying public services are collapsing.
Nothing has been delivered.
We have no money.
There's a prevailing mood of hopelessness, discontent.
And the question I think rightly people are saying is, where are the leaders who are going to navigate this?
Where are the leaders who are saying, look, these are the challenges we face, but we have to be pragmatic and we have to deliver for the people here.
And that is not happening at any level.
Well, the context has changed dramatically in 30 years or almost 30 years since the Good Friday Agreement.
And the things that were accepted realities are now no longer.
But for me, I suppose the big thing is the UK as an economic force.
So certainly when I was growing up and I was at school, you know, the union was strong.
The union was economically strong.
It was politically strong.
Those are no longer realities.
And so what we find is that the selling of the union, it's very, very difficult.
What are you, what basis are you selling it on?
Because there's turmoil there, there's change.
It's a febrile atmosphere, as you say, the Farage, another new prime minister.
So unionists have reverted to,
their case is really based on an anti-United Ireland, rather than saying, look, these are the reasons why you need to be in this union.
