Men are often clued into family finances growing up is something that we've seen.
Men are also much more likely to talk to their friends about money.
And so there's often this almost like money taboo that we see amongst women that exists from an early age.
I think in general, men are just more comfortable with their finances, talking about it.
having been clued into finances at an early age.
In some of our research, we saw that 68% of men are comfortable discussing finances with family versus 29% of women, which is a huge contrast.
We see similar differences with their friends, their partners.
I think what that does is that feeds into this general barrier that exists for women because money and finances are often just a black box to them until a much later age than men.
And then I think what that contributes to is things like lack of confidence, not really understanding kind of the fundamentals of things like investing, what's happening in the markets, or just knowing where to start.
What we often see from when we talk to women is that they want to be thoughtful, they want to be strategic about their money, they want to be thinking for the long term.
And so really understanding where to start and the basics of that is a pretty big educational gap compared to what we see from men.
Yeah, I mean, I think so.
I think you want to be careful, right?
You don't want to say that we are going to build products for women.
You want to think about what are the unique attributes and behaviors that we see from this audience and how do we meet those needs and problems.
And that's why we've invested in educational resources.
We're going to continue to build those out.
We're building out additional financial products like recurring investments or fractional shares that really help you get started with a small amount of money, build long-term habits.
And those are all things that we're doing when we think about the profile of the women customer.
But it's not necessarily pandering, you know, which is often what I see from companies that do this in a more reductive way, to be honest.
