I was commissioned to write a play about 1916.
And then the War of Independence and then the Civil War.
And it just kind of released something in me and allowed me to go into, you know, to kind of break out of the living rooms and the kitchens where I was very comfortable and I could write these dark and strange stories.
That's lovely.
Brilliant.
Yeah, I did.
I had breast cancer 2018.
I was diagnosed, went through treatment in 2019 into 2020.
You know, it's quite the journey, as I'm sure you've had many people sit here and talk to you about.
And, you know, I made it through.
And I just, you know, I live every day, you know.
And in a way, cancer is quite liberating.
You know, you don't worry about money so much anymore.
You kind of think, oh, sure, listen, if I go, somebody else can pay off the loans, you know.
And it really is.
And you just don't sweat the small stuff anymore.
Oh, yes, it has.
You know, I sometimes think, you know, like the whole idea of kind of, you know, living to retire is such a cod.
None of us know when we walk out the door what's going to greet us, do you know?
None of us know what's around the corner, good or bad.
