And, you know, I was chatting about this with some teachers last night and one of them sent me back a 19 minute voice note that is unerrable.

She so vehemently disagreed with the sentiment.

For me, the only impact it really has on me is when I want to go to the gym in the morning, the classes are all kind of revolve around the school run.

So and my commute to work, you know, the traffic revolves around the school run.

But certainly, yeah, likewise, I have teacher friends who the amount of silent labour that they do, it's weekends, it's after hours.

And I would worry, as you say, Jen, that there is an expectation that teachers are now going to have to

to parent as well.

Well, they already do.

You know, they are effectively kind of being treated as childminders, I think, in some sense.

I take teenagers over young children any time, I'm afraid.

Not if you added a zero to the amount the primary school teachers get paid, would you pay me to do it?

Honestly, it's such a tough job.

And I just so much respect for you.

And it's different nowadays because when we were in primary school, we're all probably of a similar vintage.

There wasn't as much kind of focus on the individual child as well.
