This has been really been a journey for me in a lot of ways because the first year or two, like, I was getting
so emotionally invested in these families.

To the point where like
I think of one little girl, uh Kaylee, who passed away shortly after we did the campaign.
Um
Just kinda wrecks you, you know.
And so I subconsciously
I realized I started putting up this wall where it was almost becoming like transactional, like, Okay, yes, you need you have a you have a cause, you have a need, we are going to sell some shirts and we're going to support you through that and then at the end of the two weeks, here's your money, you know, good luck and God bless and all that.
But
Then I got invited uh to uh a a party that a family was doing for a little girl uh who Olivia who had just uh received her last cancer treatment and was about you know, about to be declared remission or whatever.
And I I really thought I
If I'm not going to
If I'm gonna celebrate the wins with these families, I gotta
It can't just be one sided.
I gotta be there, you know.
