most people I encounter in the community in things that I'm involved in
have got a degree of understanding of dementia and uh usually very accepting.

It'd be a few things.
One thing I'd say is it's not all bad.
There are some really good upsides to having dementia.
And no two people are the same.
One's um
I'll give you as a humorous experience I had.
A couple of years ago I took my boys out for dinner prior to Christmas and uh they're in their late twenties now and I asked them, out of amusement, could they remember the registration of their first car?
And they couldn't.
And I said, well ha, I can remember mine.
It was a Morris Major DBU four eight four.
But at that point I couldn't remember my pin number, so I couldn't pay.
They had to pay.

But on the other side, one thing I've really found that I I get now is um
