We were very grateful for that.
I should have mentioned, of course, that Anna van der Bregen was a uh did not start at the beginning of the stage as well.
So that was another big name.
Uh not uh in the race for the stage win.
Um but then on the s after uh Ferron Provot uh got dropp, dropped rather, we saw Jury, Berthe, Roug set the pace until Volling made the first move 11 kilometres or about 11 kilometres from the top.
And only two riders could follow her, Roysa and Yellow, and then Nivia Doma.
Ten seconds back sat Longo Borghini, Blasi, Nidiamara, and Kabol, and that really set the pattern for the rest of the race.
Around uh 9.5 kilometres to go, Nivia Doma went.
Uh, and what happened behind her was a little bit of uncertainty between Roycer and Volering, and uh, whilst the gap was quite slender to start with, it soon started
Started to balloon and even repeated accelerations from Volering could not get those that pair close.
By five kilometres out, the gap was over a minute.
And then past Chalet Reynard, Nivia Doma came out of the trees, onto the moonscape, into the headwinds, and she was alone.
And her lead stretched out to one minute 45 at one point, and she ended up winning by 1.16.
The first win uh of her career at this race uh and behind the stalemate finally broke.
Vollering attacked inside the last kilometre, completely cracked Roycer.
He finished 30 seconds down on Vollering, and she was in fact overtaken on the line by Longo Borghini.
So that leaves the GC completely upturned, doesn't it, Rose?
Nivia Doma now leads by 15.
seconds from Damie Wollering.
Roysa is 39 seconds back.
