Uh I mean clearly I it was in you know they didn't get it right, did they, at that point when when Neviodoma went.
Um I think it was interesting I heard uh read something about um Royce and a a quote she gave to Cycling News and a group of reporters after the finish and she said I think it was
Honestly, I didn't understand fully.
I think the problem was that Damien and me were marking each other too much.
Really stupid from both of us.
And I think that probably sums it up.
That's not to say that Cassio Niviloma might have not won anyway, but clearly they were just marking each other for a while there and too busy trying to make each other work, thinking about which rider had the most to lose, playing my
games and all the while Nivia Doma's uh gap was just getting bigger and bigger, wasn't it?
I think it was, yeah.
I mean and of course it's easy for us to say that in hindsight, isn't it?
Because I think to be fair,
I think a lot of people felt that the race had become likely a two-horse race even though Nevia Doma was just over a minute back.
I don't think anyone really quite expected her to make this much difference today.
But to yeah, his admission that um her kind of role was basic to mark Wallering did surprise me.
Doma also said after the stage, of course, that she knew she wanted to be alone after Chalet, well, you know, before she got to Chalet Reynard because she knew then the winds would play a role and that the any chases will be trying to think about trying to keep out the wind, and that plays to her advantage as well.
And and and it really did, and so I think whilst they did clearly underestimate Nivy Doma, um we shouldn't
take anything away from her.
Royce and Vollering will have to rethink things, won't they?
