So I think she benefited from that.
Um but yeah I I spoke to her uh well I was there when uh people speaking to her at the end of uh the stage and uh this is what she had to say.
Well, I think she'll still go for GC, I think she'll still give it a go.
But yeah, clearly not the result she wanted.
Just like you observed Lizzie with Kim Lecourt, she was demonstrably crushed, I'd say, uh after the finish.
Um, rode off without speaking to the media, uh, looked really dejected.
And yeah, this was a this was one of the stages where we thought she might really do
Well.
Well I just wanted to say this is not nothing to do with um uh the riders, but there was a a huge athletic performance from the press pack uh earlier as well because uh Marlon Roycer uh crossed the line and just after about 200 yards after the finish line there's this roundabout.
Huge roundabout, not small roundabout.
All the press were waiting for including the TV cameras and everything else, were waiting for Marlon Roycer to cross the line and as soon as
the rainbow bands went past.
50 of us, well it felt like 50 of us, maybe maybe I'm exaggerating, but a lot of us went legging it after Marlon Roycer, thinking she was just going to ride on past the roundabout.
The quickest of them, including Matt Stevens from TNT Sports and others, were near Marlon Roycer.
And just as we th everyone thought that we were going to catch up with Marlon Roycer, she just started going back round the roundabout and then a whole train of uh press had to
suddenly pivot and start running back uh round and round about after Marlon Royce.
It was such a comical experience and uh I pulled a muscle as a result.
So yeah.
