He also had the 11th lowest eight out at 5.3 and the seventh, 17th longest time to throw.
So there are a lot of holes to this pretty picture that people want to paint about Ty Simpson.
So not a lot learned from him.
And the same thing I could say for Mendoza and Drew Aller.
Aller, it was like easy, like literally three-step drive.
Back foot hits, rip it to the open guy.
A lot of easy zone looks, pitch and catch, first read.
You didn't learn really anything about Drew Aller and Mendoza.
The thing that I thought was concerning a little bit about him in the first game was he had a lot of hesitance at times where, like I felt like on the limited reps I saw, where just the trigger was a little bit slow.
And probably some of that is like NFL C.
spacing, getting to um, you know, getting through his reads and getting used to the speed and the spacing of the NFL game.
I'm not like overly concerned, but again, like
Anybody coming out of here like and telling you after week one of preseason that any one of these guys looked amazing or Drew Aller is the future for the Pittsburgh Steelers at quarterback, like you need to pump the brakes and like be honest about what we saw and what we didn't see from these rookie quarterbacks.
