And so the question really is, you know, is there the political and the public will to do it?

And is the money there to do it as well?

You know, so I don't know the answer to that question, but technically it would be possible.

Yeah, I don't know about Stephen's Green.

It's just not very well connected to other habitat.

It's very, very, very, very built up in the area.

But Phoenix Park certainly would be no issue for Pound Martins.

And I remember actually somebody asking me that about 12 years ago.

And I was mainly focused in really like Pine Martins in much more rural areas because they were still like in recovering then.

And I thought the notion of Pine Martins in the Phoenix Park was, you know, that had never happened.

But, you know, my understanding of Pine Martins has evolved.

And as they have recovered, you know, it's become very obvious that they're not as bothered by disturbance as we thought they were.

And they will use urban parks and environments.

But what we haven't seen and I don't think we will see is them

becoming that bold that they just don't care with high levels of disturbance.

And I don't think we'll see them living in the kind of numbers that you'd need to have an impact on grey squirrels in city parks either.

But I think that we will see them using them occasionally for sure.

So there is no evidence that pine martins will live in high numbers in city parks anywhere that I'm aware of.

So I wouldn't be... I'd be very reluctant to experiment with them by moving them into city parks and seeing what happens.

I think that there would be welfare issues for the individual pine martins that were involved in those movements and they probably would just try to leave the parks and probably get killed on the roads quite quickly.
