I think Scali is still the sort of player who Gladbach will rely on.
And of course, he is great pals with Gio Reyna.
They're very close off the pitch.
But he's got a bit of a challenge, which actually may be no bad thing with the World Cup in mind, knowing that he's not just going to walk into the Gladbach side every week.
He's got to really work for it.
And as I say, Mauricio Pochettino might be quite happy about that.
Stuck up without any shadow of a doubt.
And yes, injuries, foot injuries, all the way, it seems, for poor Kevin Paredes.
It's funny, at the start of the season when you had me on, I actually labelled him as the one player I was most looking forward to in this campaign from an American point of view.
because I thought that surely he was going to enjoy a bit of good luck on the injury front at long last.
And then, of course, the injury jinx hit again.
But he's back in business.
They've been using him, Wolfsburg, his club, judiciously as a substitute.
And then he got to start against Dortmund.
They lost the game thanks to a late goal from Serugirasi.
But I thought Paredes did really well for a 64 minutes on the pitch.
And there is a player there.
I know that he perhaps doesn't fit into what the U.S.
national team is trying to do at the moment, but definitely stock up.
He's still young, 22, got time on his side.
