And if he can stay away from these foot problems, I'm convinced that we're still going to be talking a lot about Paredes in a positive way in the years ahead.
Stock up.
I'm actually a big fan of James Sands.
Now, you might look at James Sands and say, well, he's not a memorable sort of player.
He's an artisan rather than an artist.
Let's put it that way.
He's somebody who I think coaches value and certainly his coach at St.
Pauli, Alex Bressin, values him and watched him really closely in the Pokal last week and thought he was one of the best players on the pitch.
actually playing in central defence, playing as part of a back three, because they had to do that due to the personnel situation.
And he was part of the St.
Pauli side that shot Stuttgart at the weekend, playing in his more customary position in central midfield.
He had a bit of a dip earlier this season after a really good start.
I remember watching him, and I think we all watched him, in the Hamburg City derby when, if he wasn't the man of the match, he was pretty close to it.
So I think he's slightly underrated, Sands.
As I said, he's not the player who immediately catches your eye.
But again, if it were me, I might be looking at a player like that who can be versatile, who can can do the sort of the odds and ends, who can be relied upon to work really hard and is a good guy within a squad.
So, yeah, James Sands stock up.
Oh, this is a huge stock up.
