Yeah, I'm an honorary Albertan at this point, if I can say so myself.

Yeah.

I am, yeah, almost every game.

There's sometimes where it coincides with my son's hockey, so I'll have to catch a recap or whatnot.

But, yeah, a lot of dinnertime Oilers watching at the Ryan household here in Spokane.

Still cheering on the group, watching them go through the struggles early and kind of come out of it and be where they're at now.

It's kind of fun.

Saw the group in Seattle for a game there.

That was awesome.

Got the family down below, and Zane and August, my kids, were able to see everyone.

I was able to see everyone, obviously, Bonnie.

And, yeah, so keeping track of the guys and tracking their progress and sending Connor updates and stuff.

Could have had a longer NHL career if I would have made it earlier, but I was able to play long enough, 38 years old, coming up on 40, where I felt like the time was right.

I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything aside from the Stanley Cup championship, and we got so close to that.

And the pain from that will never go away, probably fully.

I think that's probably safe to say for everyone involved.

um even if guys go on and win the cup later in their careers they'll still have that angst and whatever from getting so close and not finishing the job not getting it done um but i mean so yeah like i said i i think i played long enough where i felt fulfilled i felt like i was ready to turn the page a little bit i think the hardest thing bob is just being away from the guys you know having that

that strong bond with those guys in that locker room.

And it's different from my time in Edmondson than my time in Calgary and my time in Carolina, just because

Because of the runs that we went on in Edmonton, and that just changes your relationships with those people.
