And then in six months' time, they realized I shouldn't have done that.
I need I need full cover.
So they phone up the insurance company and they go on to a higher plan.
But now they're upgrading their cover.
And if you upgrade your cover to a higher plan, if you have any existing conditions whatsoever,
They won't give you that extra cover for two more years.
They'll charge you first, they'll put you on the higher plan, but you will still be stuck on the current plan for two years, for the next two years.
So it's unfair.
Well, do you know what Claire, it's it's put it this, it's kind of like a sledgehammer to crack a nut here.
That rule is there to stop people who deliberately basically go on the lower plans and then try and jump onto a higher plan as soon as they get sick.
But unfortunately, you know, that rule catches a lot of as well as innocent people out who just don't realise the rules and they fall between the cracks.
And that's why if if my benefits are changing and if I move to another plan right now that doesn't have the changed benefits
then I will not be impacted.
That rule will not apply.
But if I roll over and accept effectively if I roll over, I'm telling the insurance company I'm accepting the reduced benefits and and I could find myself in trouble.
So, you know, really now the the rule to everybody now is you can no longer auto renew your cover.
It doesn't matter which insurance company you're with.
You must always check.
No, look it it it's a very good point.
And and this is the risk.
