But it looks like for the last two to three years, the insurance companies have really struggled to get a grip

on both the volume and the cost of claims to the private hospitals.

Now, if if you know if I can strike a slightly positive note, it looks like now that is improving because the average increases, like the latest round of average increases, are probably the lowest we've seen for some time.

But medical inflation worldwide, depending on who you speak to, runs at anything from six to nine percent.

So healthcare is going to keep increasing.

But you know, exactly what you've said, we're not surprised that

That sentiment because you know, especially younger members who aren't using their cover and who maybe are barely affording it, and now they hear there's more increases coming through, and now there's potentially benefit changes.

So, you know, understandably a lot of people are going to ask, is this still worthwhile paying for?

And I'd love to say that the public system has dramatically improved, but as we all know, it's still it's still challenged.

So what has has happened though is the insurance companies are acutely

aware that affordability is a huge issue.

And we see we see all of them now putting new discounts and new plans into the market.

to try and give people affordable, more affordable cover.

But what I would say to anybody who, you know, who's who's facing an increase, and by the way, everybody is facing an increase, you know, you you do not accept that increase without phoning the insurance company.

And checking do they have um any new plans.

And if I can just give one example, like anybody who's with Leia on Inspire and Inspire Plus, fantastic plans have been around a long time, but they're now they're now very expensive.

They've launched about four new Inspire schemes, and some of them are three, four hundred years cheaper than the existing ones because they know that they the existing members will struggle to afford the older plans.

But if you don't phone up and engage Claire, you're not going to find it.
