And and and that is that is absolutely the case.
Unless now and here's the the the I suppose the one exception.
If you're one of these people who phones up every year and and basically tracks the latest deals, yes, you are going to find there's probably some savings to be made, but every year you're chipping away or shaving off a little bit of the cover.
But if you're somebody who's on the same plan for five years or more, or you don't have a small excess on your policy, or you're not on one of the latest corporate plans.

And not only could you miss these latest increases, in some cases, Claire, you can actually improve your overall cover.
And without going into too much detail, but people don't realise this, there's a couple of new plans have been launched in the market right now.
Fantastic plans, but because they've been designed for new corporate clients that that these insurance companies have just won a big piece of business.
But everybody can join those plans.
But if you don't phone up and engage and ask the right questions or get advice.
And there's loads of advisors around the country who specialize in this and they'll effectively do the heavy lifting for you.
But I suppose what this is really, I mean, the latest development, it's really a call out to all those people on those very expensive plans where they think they still have full orthopedic cover.
And now if they don't read the small print, especially if they're with Leia.
they could find that that cover is no longer there and they might find out when it's too late.
So really either themselves or somebody on their behalf needs to just engage with the insurance company and just make sure there's no changes coming through on the plan.
And and if there are, you need to take steps to rectify that now.

Up to about two, three years ago, they were waiving it.
Um and what was happening was the private hospitals they had a lot of surplus empty capacity and they were waiving those those co-payments as we call them, because if they didn't waive it, they know that the hospital next door would do it and they'd lose the patient.
