She tells the story that she recognized me when I was in first grade. She was in second grade. I didn't, you know. Not people on the older ones. You know what I'm saying? Sometimes Zach got to do that. You know what I'm saying? Even when Zach's six.
But our girls still had cooties during that time. So I wasn't paying attention.
But long story short, because this is a long story. We have a brother the same age and we have a sister the same age. So we both are a family of three.
We have brothers who are the same age, sisters the same age. And I used to go back when we were in middle school to pick up my brother and sister, and she used to see me. We ended up going to rival high schools. She was a cheerleader. I was a football player. And then my senior year, I was being awarded by the elementary school that we both went to.
And that was the time that she could finally see me and say, hey, Deval, I'm interested. Now she was choosing.
Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something about my wife, okay? Okay. And I'll say this. All of the stuff that they say you're not supposed to do on social media to get a man, she did every single one of them.
She walked up to me.

You know what I'm saying? Let her walk away a little bit then. Like, they told me, as she about to walk away, that's when you grab her arm and you just be like, excuse me.
You see what I'm saying? I had all this in my mind.

And I immediately went back to the way my dad told me to be. I was just like, what's up? Stop laughing. You see you laughing. This is the problem. You're not trying to listen.
I'm sorry. So I was like, what's up? And then when I said, what's up, we started vibing. She came and visited me the next day, and it was all on history. History. The thing that impressed me, though, she asked me, Our first date, we in my dorm room. I was ready to smash. I'm 18. I ain't going to lie. I'm 18. You see my wife, you know what I'm saying? Long hair, slim. She got a little fatty on her.
I was like, give me some of that. You know what I'm saying? I'm a D1 athlete. I'm not thinking about no wives or nothing.
So she's eating a hero. And I'm like, she's like, so. She's eating a hero. She's like, so what's your plans in life? I was like, okay, well, I want to be an actor. I want to do that.
