Hello, hello. It is great to be here with you virtually, Tim. Devante, how you doing? What? Last time I was in the studio, we just missed each other. Ships in the night.
So it's good to be here with you virtually. I'm feeling pretty good today, surprisingly. I think Halloween kind of helped with bringing my mood up. My son turns one in a couple of days, and this was his first Halloween. It was his last first holiday, and I didn't expect him to care. But man. He's never tried candy before, but man, every door we got to, he was like, give me that.
He got the good stuff. Digging into buckets. It was a good time.
Dogs. He is obsessed with our dog, even though we have a Jack Russell. He's not very fond of my son yet. I think he kind of like the crawling being on four legs. He's just kind of like, I don't know about this weird dog you guys brought home a couple months ago, but we went as dogs because of that, just because he he really loves them.
We are pretty close to Philadelphia here. And in Pennsylvania, they have Sesame Place. So he's really getting into Elmo right now. So we're going to go to Sesame Place and have brunch with Elmo for his first birthday party. So hopefully he's not scared of Elmo outside of the birthday party.
No, yeah, a person in a suit probably walking over to him.
You know what I mean? That's a lot to take in. Oh, listen, I've been to Sesame Place more times than I'd like to admit on this stream, taking pictures and hung out with Cookie Monster, so I'm ready.

Man, I'm so excited to hear this. You know, after so much unwarranted negativity surrounding the game since the first trailer came out and then all the way to the review embargo lifting, I was a little worried that Veil Guard would have somewhat of a bumpy launch with a lot of players being kind of peer pressured away from it. But I'm really glad to see that that's not the case.
And it's mostly positive on Steam. And like the article said, people in school
cool people at work but also it doesn't mention it was a holiday so all of those things combined to still have a peak player count that rose above something with a fan base like star wars that's awesome like i know that the the um dragon age ip is an established ip and the fans have been starving for a decade but like that's that's really impressive and i'm glad that it's up there
I really enjoy it. I was like a little bit mixed, but something that I think Greg said in the review kind of helped shift my perspective on it. Whereas like I went in kind of hoping for a certain type of RPG. Once I shifted my mindset to realize that it wasn't that RPG and more of like this fantasy action adventure game, it really started to change how I saw the game and shifted my...
like what I was anticipating from it. So I've really been enjoying it though. Like character creator alone. It's just like, I could, you could spend like three hours in that.
Yeah, it's really like something you said was that like PC gaming is getting more mainstream. And I completely agree because I used to be so console like tied to my consoles and now like my life is so much more on the PC. And even when I first got into PC gaming, I would open up the Epic Games Store and be like, why do people hate this? Why are people so down on this? Free games every week?
What's going on? And now I'm really starting, no shade to any of the other launchers, but I'm really starting to see why Steam has the hold that it has and why games really benefit for launching on there day and day with every other version of it.
not that i can think of i was i was thinking of this recently um when i was being peer pressured a little bit into metaphor um i was thinking like i don't have time but actually you know because there i see you barry um As the year is starting to wind down, it doesn't feel like there's gonna be any huge experiences, anything like that. Everything is in February now.
So yeah, I think Dragon Age and Call of Duty are one of the last big things to come out. Everything else kind of feels smaller in comparison.
I saw those hair physics all over all over Twitter. I wasn't shaking my character in that way when I was making them, but like seeing people really like show off the hair physics and stuff. It's yeah, right there. That's fantastic. I love it.
