interfering is somehow going to do it we should be going to the afl we should be getting specialists in this area and we should be investing in it not just at an all-black level but maybe hiring two or three of these guys who spread themselves across the super rugby and we actually make it a strength of new zealand rugby clearly our coaches don't know how to coach it our players clearly don't know how to handle the high ball under pressure yet this is a game that was you know but that is the essence of afl isn't it and that's what we should be doing

I think that hopefully common sense prevails and guys like Artie Sevier will get picked if they still play overseas because that's where we need to move to.

And so if that is the case, then I don't have an issue if he's not playing here because I think he's showing that he is good enough wherever he plays.

There'll only be a few of those guys that will fall into that.

And if you want to be an All Black, you're still predominantly going to have to showcase and audition yourself here.

But when you look at it, when you look at the players that are leaving the Blues next year, they are going to be short.

Obviously, we've already mentioned that Dalton Papalihi's leaving.

Yeah, Hoskinsa Tutu's leaving as well, so there is opportunity there for the Blues to pick him up.

Yeah, would you love to see him go down and play for the Highlanders?

Absolutely.

But that's not going to be in his best interest, is it?
