The international team uncovered this cave and they found inside the cave this winery.
Right.
So the winery is named Arani because the village is Arani and village is Arani because the grape that grows there is Arani.
They also found the petrified seeds inside that cave.
They took them to UC Davis.
They took them to University of Bordeaux.
They were doing DNA analysis until both of those university researchers decided to come to Armenia.
And they realized that that's a grape that grows everywhere.
So, actually, it's the same grape that 6,100 years ago people were making wine from.
It's called Areni.
And the ancient winery.
And now, because I think for people it's a little bit easier, they call it Arani Noir.
But, of course, it's a modern name, right?
In Armenian, it's just Arani.
Exactly.
But it kind of puts you in the red wine.
It's only grown in Armenia.
It's indigenous grape.
Yes.
