It was believed that it's only grown in that region, in the Vyadzor region.

Now we have some very talented winemakers planting in different places in Armenia as well, at different altitudes, a little bit lower, 1,000 meters, 1,100 meters, but yeah.

So this winery is Oshin, and it has an interesting story as well.

So entire winemaking in Armenia, we are called the oldest, newest country of winemaking.

Why?

Because it was about... Armenia was... Now that you looked at the map, Andrei, you see that we were in a silk path back then, right?

It was Persian Empire, it was Ottoman Empire, it was absolutely any empire that was there.

We were constantly under some sort of empire.

And since the Ottoman Empire, it was Muslim driven.

So we were not allowed to do any wine.

I mean, winemaking was going for 6,000 years, but it was like undercovers.

The worst part for us started with Soviet Union because at Soviet Union, it was planned economy.

And Stalin was coming from Georgia.

So he decided that Georgia will make wine and Armenia will make brandy.

You heard about it.

Ararat brandy.

Yeah.

It is a little bit more famous, and you guys have it here in Seville.

Yeah.

So for 70 years, most of the winemaking was literally underground.
