Also in the balance, you're going to be asking yourself, is Ariante Erissery a starting left tackle on a Super Bowl winning team?

If those are genuinely your aspirations.

If you're Houston, I think that it's fair to wonder, right?

If you're going to get maximum offensive value, especially what we've seen from CJ Stroud when he's pressured, right?

You're going to have to ask some very frank questions about like, can we really afford to wager?

Our future as a team with a quarterback that has kind of come unraveled under pressure or under duress in the playoffs and against top competition over the last couple of years.

Right.

I think that it would be fair to wonder.

But I do think to me, this is two Clemson guys that I kind of have pegged for this spot.

It's either Blake Miller as a project to move over from right to left tackle or Peter Woods to bring in as a disruptive interior defensive guy.

And I ultimately went with Blake Miller because I just feel like, again, after watching the reasons why this team gets eliminated in the playoffs and considering when this team does kind of stall out in the regular season for these stretches that they have over the last couple seasons, it's almost always been tied to protection breakdowns and inability to sustain the run game and putting too much on your young quarterback's shoulders.

I think I would much rather take a guy like Miller and say, we know this is not your natural spot.

Take the time.

Or you can go with a Caleb Lomu and say, hey, man, we're going to give this to you.
