And I think I saw a report over this weekend that he's going to be right there on the sideline calling the offense.
And I just cannot imagine when we get to that Sunday night football game or that Monday night football game and you get a disaster third down and you get that three-way arguing match between Davis Webb, Bo Nix, and Sean Payton.
And then you're going to hear those reports about how Sean Payton is mulling whether or not he needs to take back play calling.
So I think that there is maybe a powder keg element happening
in Denver because they are you know trying to hand over play calling duties to an unproven commodity in Davis Webb again though like it just comes back to infrastructure I think that the only thing I'm really concerned about with this team is health and it is entirely possible that they are totally undercut by health because there is a way to read what you gave me
in terms of the data of all the returning starters and returning production they're bringing back.
And sometimes that can be a harbinger of something going wrong, right?
It is very rare that all of your top producers come back that have been there year over year, that play a high level of snaps, that are never hurt, being able to get through another season with that type of good fortune.
And for as strong a supporting cast as this team has, they don't really have a lot of explosive potential, which is why they went out and got Jalen Waddell in the first place.
And if they miss him for any time, if they miss someone like Cortland Sutton, if the interior of this offensive line suffers from any attrition, we saw this in Philadelphia last year, where guys who have
hundreds of snaps of you know banging each other in a run game all of a sudden just can't get the same amount of movement we can see some ugly warts in this offense really show a little bit more so i'm just fascinated to see how that plays out but on the assumption that what we've seen over the last two seasons that we'll get a some kind of facsimile of that in 2026 leads me to believe pretty strongly that denver will be one of the better offenses in the nfl

He and Justin Herbert are like, it's an NFC-AFC version, like corollaries of each other.
I had them 11, and it all comes back to just some of the questions that I have that you were kind of laying out here.
And this is not just specific to their offense.
I think across this roster, we've seen a lot of their depth just be slowly stripped away over the last two to three off seasons.
And now when you go and look at their depth chart, it's like, man, this used to be a team where I felt like it didn't even matter who their number ones and number twos were on either side of the ball because they just had so much to backfill around them to be able to kind of aggregate that level of production across their roster.
I think this team right now is much more positioned to need Jordan Love to perform like a first-team All-Pro, MVP-caliber quarterback, to really need Tucker Kraft, who I think was just activated off of Pup over this weekend, to be there and available and looking the way that he did to start off the 2025 season.
And on top of that, guys like Jaden Reed, guys like Christian Watson, it's really not even a matter of what you can produce because I think that we've seen them year over year be strong production guys when they're available.
They just have to be available, right?
