And I think that it makes sense for what his ceiling is.

I think that this doesn't necessarily close the conversation, though, on what version of Jalen Carter are you going to receive in 2026 and 2027?

And when we get to 28 and 29, is he going to be so good that not only is this deal making all the sense in the world, but you are already starting to think about ripping up the last year or two of what this extension is going to be.

And it's tacking on a couple more years where he can continue to be at the top of the market.

I think that that's still a little undecided.

You have adjusted on some of the things that we felt like you needed to in order to be the best version of yourself.

Here is your reward for the time that you've put in.

Whereas, as you were saying with Jalen Carter, this is much more a, hey, we've just seen what you are at your peak.

that is a more likely outcome for the next half decade of your career than what we saw in 2025, right?

And if we're to assume that the shoulder surgeries were successful, that his recovery from that is successful, and that he'll be durable again, then I can understand why, you know, Philadelphia might feel like what we saw in 2024, where he looked like, hey, this guy might be knocking on the door of being a Jeffrey Simmons, of being, you know, an Aaron Donald level, you know,
