And so much of the McVay tree has been plucked over the years that now you probably do have some legitimate concerns.
Like,
there is no next guy coming up through Minnesota right now that is clearly going to be, you know, he might be the quarterback's coach or maybe he's the run game coordinator.
And you just know the same way it was with Mike McDaniel in San Francisco, like this is going to be the next guy and you can go get a jumpstart on bringing him in by promoting him to OC instead of him staying in his current role with the team that he's at.
So that to me now, here's one thing I will throw at you.
If you get a guy like Brian Flores, and I think that maybe we'll get to this in the second half of the conversation, um,
Maybe you start taking a peek over at Miami and wondering if that head coach comes available, if he can run your offense.
And now you've got those two guys maybe as your combo.
That, to me, is something that would be a big draw, not just for Brian Flores, but for any defensive-minded coach.
I think Robert Sala will probably be a good fit for that because they come from the same staff in San Francisco.
Right.
Like I think that there there are some ways you should look at this where the door is open for you to bring in a defensive minded guy.
But like you said, you have to have perfect clarity on exactly what this offensive identity is going to be.
If your head coach is not the one who was in the meeting room with the quarterback, helping him get get up to speed or whatever the new scheme would be.
I do, too.
I think it would be wise for him to get right back into it.
Right.
He's one of those names to me where you take too much time away, especially if Baltimore successful.
He's in his 60s.
And what you don't want to do is wait for the perfect opening.
