I cannot watch the Bills' safety room continue on the way that it has over the last couple of years because it has just felt like such a limiting factor at different points in time against high-level competition.
I think things kind of started to clean up for Buffalo's defense towards the back six weeks of the season.
I felt like they were playing a little bit better.
You definitely started to see some of the creativity that they were trying to apply last year start to come to fruition.
But that staff is out of the building now.
Right.
Like you're you're going to be running a different style of scheme.
Right.
With the Jim Leonard.
And I'm really fascinated to know, like, what does Jim Leonard actually think about NFL defense as a play caller?
Right.
Like, I don't know if he's going to bring over the Vance Joseph.
We're totally fearless man coverage.
We blitz you all the time.
We're telling our edges to just tear off up the field and we're going to create a bunch of havoc.
And that's going to be the way that we live.
Because they don't have that kind of player or players, period, with that kind of coverage profile to be able to play that aggressively on the back end.
So to me, I think the two or three names that I was most interested in at this spot was Chris Johnson, DB from San Diego State, Colton Hood from Tennessee, and Emmanuel McNeil-Warren.
Those are the three for me where I'm like, I feel like if those three are on the board, you're probably okay in either direction.
And I think that for me, I'm trying to open up my mind beyond what we've seen of Buffalo.
