I was, I used to, so I'd graduated from the Botanics.

It was a fledgling industry.

It wasn't the best time to come out of college and do that because people didn't really employ garden designers.
You had to be a jack of all trades.
I wanted to make gardens that were inspired by Bowie or politics or religion.
Willy Wonka, anger, the gardens that expressed everything.
But obviously there wasn't the market for that because who wants some of those things?
Most people want something about nature or something that is pretty.
And I had an ability to create very pretty gardens.
I used to go to the Forerunners of Bloom.
I used to win the gold medals at that.
But I wasn't creatively satisfied.
And I didn't feel...
why garden design, gardening, planting should be left out of this creative movement.
So fashion design, car design, magazine design, music, movie making.
