Yes, I did when I was doing her mum's garden because I'd won this medal in the RDS.
And so I was the person of the day, even though I in general wasn't doing my work too well at that time because I wasn't been satisfied and everything was going south for me.

So I wouldn't say it's self-critical, but you do need to if you have that visceral desire to create and to be true to something that you believe in.
So around that time, I gave myself a year.
to get out of the industry, a year to think about what else I could do.
I had lost where I was living.
I was sofa surfing.
I hadn't got anything.
I'd let everybody down.
I was a laughingstock in the industry.
And I had dreams that nobody else, certainly in this environment, in Britain or Ireland, seemed to have.
So I wouldn't say it's self-critical.
It was just...
What am I going to do?
Because I might not have survived.
And I don't know what that means, but it was that strong with me.
I needed to find a way to allow me to make gardens that were different and challenging.
And through that journey, I felt I would learn.
