For example, we tend to be underweight in some of the energy utility themes in public.
Markets with active managers, but we have found a great way to invest in that sector in our private portfolio.
In fact, energy and utilities has been one of our best themes over the past few years, providing great distributions recently.
So understanding that mix is key to overall risk management and returns.
What we have seen the most issues with in private capital really has been the mismatch of private investing time horizons with portfolio liquidity needs.
And for us, the biggest challenge has really been the longer hold periods, which was referenced earlier in our discussion.
So adjusting our forward calendar to account for that, making sure we're not getting over allocated in whole to the asset class, and also not experiencing capital call pressures when distributions are slowing.
So we have found that a couple of ways to address that.
One is the maturing of the secondaries market can be helpful to institutional investors if they need
to clean up unwanted positions.
But the other is trying to be very proactive and have different scenario analysis in our forward calendaring to think about these longer holding period times and high, low types of risk scenarios to adjust.

And really for 2026 and beyond, you know, private equity success, private market success is dependent on building long-term relationships with managers and great firms.
And access to the best managers and opportunities is critical.
And it really provides an information edge and gets you into investing and innovation.
Innovative new areas.
We also want to make sure we have strong due diligence on managers so we can have understand transparency during times that could be challenging.
And getting to know succession planning and the next level leaders is very key in the process.
Private markets is a people-driven business, and we aren't just picking great funds, but we're hoping to partner with managers.
and firms for the long term.
