But and that but and but that was also wrapped up in in the the identity of the city of Liverpool.
Um I think the change in identity is obviously as significant in terms of what's happening
off the field and and the Jeff Bezos deal, which um uh you know once it passes, once the independent uh football regulator uh you know gets his teeth into it, I'm sure that'll uh you know he'll he'll really go through it with a fine tooth go.
Um but uh you know once that's passed that is a significant change for for Liverpool um to have someone like Bezos
uh taking now what's what's turned out to be close to forty percent of being part of a consortium that's taking close to forty percent and it looks inevitable that within a year they will have taken over the club.
So that's a a huge change
because, you know, the the current owners aren't um you know, they're not s they're not like uh they're not part of the like the the militant tendency.
Uh they're American capitalists, but at the same time they have they have run the club in a kind of in a way, sometimes to the often to the huge frustration of Liverpool fans, they've run it in a kind of sustainable way.
And there is something
That i at the sa at the same time I think for all the complaints that Liverpool hand fans have, especially in a summer like this, about a lack of signings, there is something that I think they've th ultimately uh
They feel that that that resonates with them more than uh uh a different type of ownership, um a brasher, like a Chelsea style ownership.
Now I don't think the Bezos ownership will come in and become uh you know spend a huge amount of money.
I think they'll look to increase revenue, they may even look to reduce costs where they can, but I think it's it's a significant change.

the on the other point as well, Matt, about the the team, I think it is um
Uh like Isaac is is a really intr important figure in like how Liverpool do this season because he is the person who was signed to replace the goals of Mo Salah, not whoever they get in at this late stage.
Now last year he got a he got a he got it like okay, he had a bad injury in January, but he got an easy ride for his his lack of fitness before that.
Um you know, this he d he went on strike and didn't go
through pre-season and he just looked totally off it.
