But we gave them opportunities that they might not have had at some of their their bigger schools or even smaller schools and that they helped us win and they were great teammates and stuff like that.
So finding that kind of balance in high school now is very tough of when you see new kids and they they wanna come.
But again, if you're if you're constantly over recruiting the players that you have, I think it's it's destined to to not do well.
Yeah, no, it it's hard because, you know, football's priority in the summer.
And, you know, you gotta have a good relationship with your other coaches at your high school.
Um Orm High just got a a brand new football coach and um and I knew the last year's football coach, one of my buddies, Lance Reynolds, good guy.
Uh they got a new football coach, uh Andy Stokes, and sometimes people wanna go play for that coach.
Mm.
And you know, they're they're out here, they're gonna probably win another state title.
And the advantage that we have here at at Orm High basketball is is that dual sport athlete.
Because I'm a huge fan of playing multiple sports.
Um some of these guys will tell you, uh, you know, you gotta specialize in one.
I would love everybody just to play basketball.
There's no doubt in my mind I get more time in the gym with them in the summer and the fall.
But
some of these guys were gonna go play, you know, D one um football.
And so their lives are gonna be better because of football.
And so to navigate that from a standpoint of of basketball
I just I can't wait till they show up because these football kids are one tough.
They're gonna be out of shape when they come back.
