There's no doubt in my mind.
But they're big.
You know, so the football, you know, gets a couple of these transfer kids who I didn't even talk to that, you know, now are coming to play basketball.
So it's a huge advantage for us if you have a really good football team.
And so that was that was another one that I took into consideration.
I'm taking this job.
Another thing, you know, that they they don't tell you about is, you know, how many parent discussions you're gonna have as a high school coach.
And
Growing up, I think, you know, 25, 28 years ago, each high school kid had to adapt to their coach.
You know, I had I got to play for Greg Shidey here.
You know, he is the best guy I know.
Me and my teammates and and our coach Shidey, you know, we're on a text message the last seven years.
He'll send us pictures of him fishing and we'll we'll talk about families and stuff.
And so I I loved it.
We had to adapt.
To him.
You know, his the way he coached and he was hard and on us and we all had to figure our personalities and adapt to that coach.
I believe that's flipped now.
And I think the coaches that are figuring that out are finding success.
Not because I have to go personally figure out each one of these kids, but I mentally and and and how to talk to the kids, each one of them is different.
