And so I could coach this kid very, very hard, but I can't do it with this other kid.
And you have to find that balance.
And so what happens is when you go really hard at one kid and then you go very hard at another kid who can take it, the parents now might see, well, dude, you're you're messing up my kid.
And so they want to go have a conversation with you.
And so some advice I got is, you know, I try to put a 24-hour rule.
Some parents don't love that because the emotions of a game or whatever, it's just like, hey, you know, can we can we talk right after the game?
Because maybe they felt like I went hard at their kid.
Um, and so you try to establish all of those things in the preseason parent meeting of, hey, here's my rules on how
deal with parents.
But I can tell you right now, I'm not afraid to talk to parents.
That is the one thing that I told myself from the very giggle, I'll have hard conversations.
You know, I got a I got a buddy who I went to junior high with and his son is over at Mount View, one of my favorite kids in the world.
And um and we've we've had tough conversations over two years.
And there's been tons of times where he hasn't probably loved the way that I've I've done things.
But we'll jump on a call and we'll spend an hour and a half and he'll see it my way, I'll see it his way.
At the end at the end of the day, he knows I love him, he knows I love his kid, and you know, we'll move on.
But I I just don't believe you can shy away from these parents.
They're a part of high school basketball program.

You gotta find a way to deal with them.
