I started doing martial arts and things like that.

Oh, yeah.

Therapy.

Not early on.

I wish I would have done it earlier, but it was not until I was about 50.

I started and

Well, I became aware of what had happened to me and I found a way through that.

I realized I didn't have to act out because otherwise you're acting out.

You may be in a relationship with a person, say a woman, but you're acting out from something that happened 40 years ago.

It had nothing to do with this person.

And I got control of that, and I ended up not abusing myself, not doing crazy stuff, not drinking so much, not doing as many crazy stunts, being more careful of how I treated myself.

Yeah, I think I still have that sort of ambition to prove things to myself, I would say, if I can do something.

But I feel less, I think lately in the last 10 years since the cancer, I've gotten more just happy to be around, happy for what I've accomplished.

And I can be a little more kind to myself and kind of congratulate myself for what I did.

What was your cancer journey?

I got kidney cancer when I was, well, it's 10 years ago now, 11 years ago.

I was diagnosed, had surgery.

I was declared cancer-free.

Then I came back, and then I had to go through a lot of different therapies, and I was misdiagnosed, actually.

And finally, things weren't looking too good, which is one reason I decided to do the doc.
