consciously go over the top with your introduction because you know you can scale it back from that point in time and settle in and get that out um just give us yeah find a way to give yourself the best chance to present your best self and call it out if that's not it like stuff happens life happens so you're going into an interview process you've just been on the phone with the boss and like something's gone wrong and that you know that when you leave the interview process
gonna have to go in action right like we get it just call that out in the five minute walk or three minute walk to the interview room for wherever the waiting like spot is is like you know hey yeah i'm actually feeling a little bit because i just had a call with the boss and and you know i've got some tasks to go so i'm just gonna can i have a minute to just park that make sure i'm presenting my best self to you like there's no panel in the world that'll be um uncomfortable with that so yeah i think they're they're
that's the you know go through what that process looks like but uh yeah i encourage everybody to apply um if you're thinking about it if you feel like yeah actually i tick a few boxes on the on the sheet like just put yourself out there um to be able to have a crack at it
the um like nando's line in um that he recites a lot is like comparison is the thief of joy i don't know who i should actually attribute that quote to but yeah probably more philosophical yeah but that notion like rings true for me out of that out of that quote like that that notion too of like uh well i should be further along or i should be here i should be there it's like nah don't don't stress for any of that right like
um scott roth wasn't a head coach until way later on in his career um than jacob chance was now they're coaching in the same league against each other right like they're it's not a um don't be in a rush that you know to be able to work work it do the work be confident in the work put yourself out there to apply but also don't look at others and compare and then be able to say oh well like i don't have that or i'm not able to get that or
I need to be this old or I need to have this much experience.
It's like, no, no, no, don't worry about comparing to anybody else.
Consider you against what the criteria looks like and then dive straight in.
