Just to make sure that you're not asking questions that are of information that's available.
So like that's a real point of frustration is like, well, they haven't actually read a role description.
Yep.
Because they're asking who it reports to or what the direct reports might be.
It's like, well, it's actually outlined in the top box at the very top of our role descriptors, who the reports are and who you report to.
So that like, yeah, the inquisition or the inquiry is good as long as there's purpose behind it, as long as there's merit to it.
And that merit is to find out more information for a potential interview or for a potential application.
Take a really long drink of water.
You know, it's a great one at that point in time.
Maybe even like purposely pour yourself another glass just to buy yourself that thinking time.
Hang the tension.
Yeah, make the tension build.
I think reframing the question is a great way to go about that too.
So I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you directly on that question.
Am I right in thinking that you're asking about this, this and this?
Or I don't have a direct, you know, example of me doing that but –
Can I give you an example from a previous job where I've managed a conflict or whatever the question might be about?
make that segue but ask that clarification question can be a really good thing I think like on the other end preparing interview guides for questions it's like all best intentions right you write the question down you read it to yourself you chat with your panel members like hey that's a great question and then you get in there and you're like that is a terrible question so now I'm gonna have to like ask that in a different way and sometimes that clarity or that that part can be missed too so I think interviewers would appreciate or panels appreciate that opportunity to reframe as well get the right answer
Um,
Yeah, the first thing for mine is like come in with a headline.
