And you can hear something real in his voice, a kind of panic, because he knows what Trump knows.

He knows what Vivek knows.

He knows what Musk knows.

The problem is not immigration.

The problem is that the global economy is moving fast and large parts of this country are pretending that they can stay in a nostalgia bubble from the 90s or even before then.

And Shapiro also knows the movement that worships him does not want to hear this.

They'd rather blame a border than confront the reality that they might need to evolve.

The same man who has spent years telling his followers that they are the smartest, most overlooked patriots in the room.

Now he is on camera saying that the country is slipping behind because talent and training are slipping behind.

And MAGA will still pretend that he's not talking to them.
