I think it brings an edge to your players.
And you guys probably know by now, I mean, you kind of get what you see.
With me, I'm not that complicated.
Play good baseball, you got a better chance of winning.
I worry more about our team and how we play than I do about the other team.
So I'm pretty simple and straightforward, and I feel like fairly honest with them.
As much as I can be, I'm going to protect my players with the media, but I am going to be fairly honest.
If we're not playing good or we don't play well enough to win, I'm going to say, hey, we didn't play good enough to win.
We didn't deserve to win.
Well, obviously, I've never seen a left-hander do it.
I did have Kershaw, who was pretty damn good.
in la and was similar to him because it was when you give him the ball you feel like you're gonna you're almost a guaranteed six innings and probably seven of the way he's throwing the ball so it's been obviously saying that it makes it a lot easier to manage him because he doesn't give up any runs so there's not a whole lot to manage other than like okay you've we got a call today um
So he's been easy, but you know what?
We got a few guys.
You know, we got Zach Wheeler, who's pitching tonight, who's just like him.
You know, Jesus Lizardo's throwing the ball good.
Our starting pitching has been really good, but Christopher has been obviously the lead guy on that staff so far.
When Sanchez last night after the game thanked you for leaving him in the game, didn't take him out with the amount of pitches he'd thrown, what's that mean to you when you hear a player talk about you that way?
Well, you appreciate it.
