I think he knows, you know, that I want to protect him too.
I know we got a long season and I can't run him into the ground.
And he probably knew.
The discussion in the dugout was I'm going out.
I wanted to leave him in, but I wanted to go out and see his face.
And if he gave me the right answers, then I was going to leave him in.
But he made it easy for me when he looked over and said one more.
And I was like, OK, that's.
So he made it easy for me.
Okay, is it harder to do that with a veteran team, easier to do it with a veteran team?
I know the last time you managed was with a young team, with the Marlins.
You know, you basically, whatever you said, they were going to do it.
You know, it's a little different, I would assume, now.
Tougher for you to manage a team like this or easier to manage a team like this?
I think easier because, you know, you got guys that have been there.
You can have conversations and with an understanding of like, hey, there's times I've taken no out of games at four and two thirds.
And I needed to get a lefty out.
I just had to do it.
