And it's not just talking about it.
You know, their actions are speaking here with the nine draft picks and the Pettersson, the Marcus Pettersson trade where they got a draft pick way on down the line.
It's it just seems to be really, really smart.
I like that.
And the veterans they signed.
I have no problem with those contracts, especially because of the term.
You know, there's no, you know, six years, six million dollar a year, Louis Erickson type deals there that, again, speaking to the focus, you can unload those players if you want or if they contribute in a meaningful way or extend them, whatever the case may be.
Let me say this, too, that I like that.
i like the people they hired in that yes they were there all along and it seems like the easy hire but they did their due diligence they they looked around maybe they made an offer to someone else but uh they looked around and and i think they realized that they had the guys in house but i i would have more problem with it with it if they didn't look around and let me just say this guys um
Just as an aside, last week, Rick and I went to the Ernie Punch McClain Memorial, the Celebration of Life at Queens Park Arena.
And this wouldn't happen in a lot of regions, but Ryan Johnson and Hendrick Sedin were there with Craig McKeown.
They were all there together.
They said hello, by the way.
And that just wouldn't happen.
And it was just, you know, Queens Park Arena and all that tradition.
And does anyone really?
Yes, they do care.
People in this community care.
And that was a big deal.
And that's just a little thing.
