Actually, I believe businesses and consumers will increasingly come to expect instant payments as the default payment mechanism
for either sending payments or receiving, especially with regard to like payroll and to like B2B transactions, for example.
So my bold prediction is that financial institutions that haven't adopted real-time rails will lose customers to more agile competitors.
Well, I guess I just wanted to, first of all, thank you, Reid, for this opportunity.
I'm more accustomed to doing the interviews than being interviewed, but this was a lot of fun.
But, you know, before we go, I just wanted to put in a plug for the U.S.
Faster Payments Council.
BHMI has been a member for quite some time, and I just love how the council brings together financial institutions, technology providers, payment networks, and a lot of industry consultants to drive collaboration, innovation, and collaboration
standards for faster payments.
So as a member, you know, I really feel like I have a voice in helping to shape the future trajectory of the industry.
