So it's layers of French toast.
Mine has three layers in a little cube because I wanted it to look super glamorous.
And then it's just pistachio spread between, I mean, you can do chocolate hazelnut spread, anything between if you like.
The pistachio spread is just very on trend right now.
And what I'm trying to do is impress my children.
So then I just do like a five egg to half a cup of milk.
I like it quite eggy.
I guess that's my nod to protein with the four boys.
So you kind of roll the cube around until it's soaked in the egg mixture.
And for me, I think it gets fluffier the more you soak it in the egg mixture.
And then you brown it on all sides in a little bit of butter in a pan.
So you've got the crunch on the outside.
No, lightly toasted.
Lightly toasted in butter, Brendan.
We're just going to make your Sunday morning just sing.
And then I serve it with some maple syrup or if I'm feeling generous, some lemon curd.
Well, what's the worst thing about fried chicken?
It's actually coating the chicken.
Like it just gets everywhere all over your hands and it just drives me a little bit crazy.
So I came up with a boost on flavour and a little bit of a lower effort on coating the chicken.
