His projections were way out there.
And that had me worried that it would be unrealistic after they had made a couple of moves to their secondary.
They signed Jamel Dean on the first day of legal tampering on Monday.
They signed former first-rounder Darnell Savage as a backup, but still, they did some things that made me think, okay, the Brisker thing...
might not be happening anymore.
The projections that sites like Spotrack had out there for him were for 10 or 11 or even close to 12 million bucks per season.
He got one for five and a half.
That feels like a steal to me.
It feels like they got this guy at a discount.
And he brings good football to the Steelers secondary.
A group that I am really starting to like even more so than last season.
Because it's not just them adding up football cards of guys who are way past their best days and we are just hoping and praying that they still have good football in them.
I.E.
Darius Slay.
That one blew up on them.
They have a little more money into vets like Jalen Ramsey and Jamel Dean.
I understand that.
But they also have very little tied to guys that are still on the younger side of the game.
Brisker being one of them.
