Oh my God, he's going after Ben.
I would not be surprised at all the next time Hayward puts a podcast episode out,
If he tries to sprint like he does to try to make a tackle 30 yards downfield on guys like he did to Derrick Henry in the first play of the Ravens game in Week 18, I bet he says, I just want to let people know that was not me.
But he was quietly agreeing with it during the clip.
I just have a feeling he's going to try to completely...
Act like he had zero role in this whatsoever.
I hate to keep doing inside baseball takes here, but if he goes, you know what, guys?
I don't know what came over me.
I should have said something and spoken up there.
That's just the next step in it, man.
And ultimately, the goal for Cam Hayward is very clear.
His playing career, even though he looks still like one of the best players in his position in the league and was voted as such, he knows it's not going to last forever.
He knows he wants to do media.
That's why he was on NBC at the Super Bowl on some boat offering up predictions on the game.
I would imagine that Ryan Clark is the model for a lot of these guys.
He got a good gig with ESPN, he makes good money there, and he has the creative freedom to pursue stuff that matters to him outside of that with the pivot.
But Aaron, I don't know why I said Aaron, but Ryan decided, even when he was playing, that he was going to say things that at times alienated and ticked off his teammates.
While he was still on the team because he knew that his future was in media.
Hayward doesn't do that.
Hayward tries to completely stay above that.
