I love what the Steelers did.
Last night, it was one of the players that I wanted them to bring in.
He was one of the players on my free agent wish list that I put out there a couple of weeks ago, which, in fact, they have now signed two of those guys.
First, it was Rico Dowdle the other night.
And then last night, the Steelers signed Jaquan Brisker to a one-year deal worth $5.5 million.
Okay.
The former Gateway Gator, the former Penn State Nittany Lion, and the former Chicago Bear is now coming back home to play in the Steel City.
And I really don't mind if he plays the same position as somebody like Deshaun Elliott because that's what it shows on the depth chart because he's flexible.
He can move around.
You can do different things with him in the defense, kind of like what they were already doing with the safeties that they did have, Elliott and Jalen Ramsey.
We saw Ramsey play multiple positions last season.
We have seen Deshaun Elliott be somebody that has moved all over the place on the Steelers' defense, and I think that is one of the reasons why he has so much success in the Steelers' defense and why he, at least for me, became a favorite to watch.
Brisker can play a little bit of free safety if he wants to.
