I don't necessarily believe the quarterback has to be beloved.
I think, obviously, there's got to be respect.
And the rest of the team, the organization, has to know that this is our guy and he's going to help us win football games.
You know, Favre was kind of that aloof, so to speak.
He was kind of the guy that loved to pull pranks in the locker room and keep things light in meetings and all that kind of stuff.
But when you played on Sunday, it was all business.
Jalen's all business all the time because he –
He wants to win so bad, and I think that's just a product of his upbringing and the places he's been, whether it's Alabama, Oklahoma, the coaches he's had, the adversity.
He got benched at Alabama, so the adversity and all this stuff that comes with Jalen.
But look, if you understand who he is...
you can work with that.
And I can appreciate that because here's a guy that will tell you exactly what he wants.
And this is something that watching the Eagles last year and just from afar, now I'm not in meetings and all that kind of stuff, but just watching them, I felt like there was a little disconnect between he and the offensive coordinator, Nick Ceriani, and the whole thing.
So,
Just speak up.
If you're Jalen Hurts, my advice to Jalen would be just continue to speak up, voice your opinion, whether it's right or wrong.
Let the coaches make those decisions.
But in order for you to have success, you've got to be able to do that.
And then understanding who Jalen is as a person, I think that's where Nick and the offensive coordinator of the organization, they need to dive into that and really work the pieces around Jalen to help him be successful.
